Living out loud.

As Christians we are called to live out loud. God calls us all to different things, whether it be missions, being a pastor or just an average  job and glorifying Him through it. We're called to be lights, we're called to love, we're called not to complain, we're called to work hard, we're called to have faith. We all have a calling. The lost souls in Africa are just as lost as the souls in your inner city. We're all called to me missionaries. However, we will fail, over and over again. But I know that in my life God uses my failures to create the need for something bigger than myself and that's Him. We must have faith. Winston Churchill wrote: "What we are required to do now is stand erect and look the world in the face and do our duty without fear or fervor." He will take care of us. We do what we have been called to and He is our strength to do it. God is using so many suffering Christians in other countries and we can't even pass out a tract without leaving our comfort zone. We can't fear the world and their thoughts of us. "You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield." - Psalm 15:11 As I mentioned before, we're called to love. We aren't called to love only if the person has a good attitude. We're called to love every single mother and every lost teenager. It doesn't matter who they are. I pray that God would break our hearts for what breaks His. And teach us the importance of life and teach us how not to waste what time He's given us.

We are called to be accurate. That means with purpose, not wasting time and diligently caring for those around us and their hearts.

Our generation is sick of repeating the history of drugs, alcohol, partying, immorality, stupidity etc. So it wasn't enough and we know that, but that won't keep them content. They will keep searching  and working to find something different until they run out.
We have to show them life is more than a game. We're not battling the force and hoping that the dark side doesn't win. We are a generation with more influence than any other. A teen doing drugs and partying had to find encouragement for that somewhere. Most teens begin these horrible habits wanting to be "different." And now everyone is "different." So I guess it's time for us to be freaks. Seems we have to be a "different" that no one has heard of.
Everyone has influence over someone and you don't have to be Justin Bieber to tell the world about your convictions. We have to live out loud. If you just quietly believe inside your head that abortion is wrong. You're not doing anything to save the millions of babies killed every year. If you think slavery is wrong, who are you saving by just thinking about it? We cannot afford to have silent convictions. God died to save people from their sins. Who else knows if we keep it locked inside our heads. If we truly know it in our hearts we cannot live quietly.

Slavery, abortion, orphans and homeless these are a few areas we need to raise our voices on. We do not need to be like the "Occupy Wall Streeters" that have a loud voice but don't have a clue.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." -Proverbs 31:8-9

"Trust only the one who empowers you to think and speak and breathe differently than the headlines. He who created the foundations of the world is still creating. His eyes are on the oppressed and broken" - Jon Foreman

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are younger, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

"If honest of heart and uprightness before God were lacking or if I did not patiently wait on God for instruction, or if I preferred the counsel of my fellow-men to the declarations of the Word of God, I made great mistakes." - George Muller

Always God

"Always God takes initiative, it is His business and He will sustain this ministry, " this is a quote from Dr. Rolando Cuellar, my intro to world missions prof at college.  He is an amazing man of God and i am learning so much from this class...the main thing he has taught us is that we are still humble servants of the Creator of all men.  Constantly reminding us that missions is simply "one beggar telling another beggar where he found bread" (D.T. Niles).   We were called of God first and He has provided for each one of us to be here.  However, while keeping the Lord's call first in our minds, he also teaches us a great deal about the world around us and the different tactics and techniques preparing us for when we encounter different cultures and languages.  So that will enable us to be a greater witness.

I thank the Lord that i am blessed to be under the teaching of the faculty here...so many godly minds imparting godly wisdom.  And praise God that "now the Gospel is racing all over" (Cuellar).

Hello Everyone!

This is my first post for this blog. I was so hyped to get to do one on here.

I was trying to think of something I could post about, I thought of several, prayer, orphans, God's impact through teenagers living for what we believe in.(Actually Kade gave me a list of things I could post about, but those are just a few I had chosen to think on specifically.)  I will do posts on those in the future, but for now here's an overview of me, and how God has put so many people that were deeply involved with missions, in my life.

I have super good friends all over the world.

Two years ago my best friend and her family moved to Asia, to be long term missionaries. And now I see her over Skype, or every three years in person.

Five years ago, some friends of my family moved to New Zealand, because they felt God was calling them to the people there.

A year and a half ago (Maybe two years ago) I befriended a Christian, teenage, girl, in South Africa. Who is now living in the U.S. And attending a Christian collage here. I love her! She's great.

My sister (through blogging) has friends in Wales.

I recently have become acquaintances with a teenage girl in Australia.

I have blog followers that live in Brazil.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of making the acquaintance of a family moving to Indonesia.

A photography instructor that my sister use to take classes with, is now a missionary to India.

And now Kade, who is building an orphanage in Myanmar.

I praise God for each of these people! I know God is changing so many hearts through them. God has blessed me, by giving me a heart for the children, orphans, in this country and in all of the others. It breaks my heart. And we so often forget how many others there are. I tend to focus on myself. Not sure about you guys, but I am an extremely self centered person. But God uses my parents to help me recognize my pride. And that is a humbling feeling. He breaks me, to build me back in the direction of His will for me.

And I'm so thankful to God for Kade, for wanting to do this.

So, to Kade, thanks for taking a chance, stepping out on faith, and encouraging us all to go beyond our average.

ALSO: I thought some of you may be interested in this: One Meal One Day! You skip one meal, for one day. And donate 5$ to hungry children in other countries. It starts tomorrow, so hurry and make a donation! Either online, or you can text 90999 and make you donation there. It is through Compassion ministries. Heres the link: http://www.onemealoneday.org/

Hope you all are having a fabulous, and blessed day!
